We keep this policy straightforward because the work you do often involves sensitive files, and you deserve to know exactly how they are handled.
1. What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never see your actual password.
- Uploaded media: images and videos you submit for analysis through the dashboard, API, or browser extension.
- Scan results: detection scores, verdicts, method breakdowns, and evidence reports generated from your uploads.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs for security and service improvement.
- Payment data: processed entirely by Digistore24. We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card details.
2. How we use your information
- To run deepfake detection and generate your evidence reports.
- To authenticate your account, issue your API key, and maintain your scan history.
- To improve the detection engine and user experience.
- To provide customer support and send essential account notices such as password resets or service updates.
We do not sell your data, your media, or your scan results. We do not use your uploads to train our models.
3. How we handle uploaded media
Files you upload are processed solely for the purpose of running detection, generating scan results, and creating evidence reports. They are not shared with third parties. If you choose to self host using our Docker deployment, your media remains entirely inside your own infrastructure and never touches our servers.
4. Data retention
You may request deletion of your account, uploads, and full scan history at any time by contacting support. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or to comply with legal obligations. Enterprise customers can configure custom retention windows.
5. Third-party services
We use Digistore24 as our payment processor and authorized reseller. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on our platform.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Access to scan data is restricted to your authenticated account. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we apply industry-standard safeguards and monitor for unauthorized access.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. 8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
